2026 KNTA Annual Meeting

Hi Debbie. Right now there is a lot of distrust within KNTA due to a lack of transparency over the last few years. Are there any concrete steps you plan to take to improve transparency in our community?
“Concrete steps” will need to be determined after the new Board has had a chance to discuss and come to an agreement on how to handle the matter. Hopefully the new Board will continue to send out newsletters, letters and have informational meetings as needed.
It will take some time for a new Board to get up to speed and in the rhythm of reviewing Board packets, financial reports, many emails and finding the time in their daily schedules to attend to all matters that concern KNTA. If Board members want to be effective as a Board member, they have to find the time and juggle their schedules to include KNTA as a part of their daily routine. Thank you for your question. – Debbie
I replied to your response—not sure if you saw it or not, so I’m following up.
I am specifically wondering what ideas YOU have to improve transparency in our community. Many co-owners are frustrated by the lack of transparency and communication with our leadership. I’m wondering what steps YOU envision taking to improve this?
I await your response. Be well and have a great day.
My first step, or idea, is to get together with all Board members and have an open discussion on the matters of communication and transparency and then come to an agreement on how we are going to move forward and what we are specifically going to do to improve communication and transparency.
Since I have been on the Board we have had more newsletters, letters, and informational meetings than any other Board. I think we should continue in that direction. As for writing newsletters and letters and holding informational meetings — that all takes time and preparation. Everyone on the Board needs to be involved. Thank you.
